One way is to download and install a VPN app from the Google Play Store. Some popular options include ExpressVPN, NordVPN, and TunnelBear. Once you’ve installed the app of your choice, open it and follow the prompts to sign in or create an account. Then simply select the server location you’d like to connect to and hit the “connect” button.
Another way to access VPN on Android is through manual configuration. This will require you to gather some information from your VPN provider first, including an IP address, gateway, subnet mask, etc. Once you have that information handy, open up the Settings app on your device and go to “Network & Internet.” Tap on “Advanced” and select “VPN.” From there, click on the “+” icon to add a new VPN profile. Give your profile a name (this can be anything), then enter in all of the information gathered from your provider. Be sure to indicate which type of security protocol you’re using as well (IKEv2, L2TP/IPSec PSK,) as this will determine how you input your credentials. Save everything and exit out of Settings when you’re done.
To actually connect to your new VPN profile, open up the notification shade by swiping down from the top of your screen (or pulling down from inside an app if using gesture navigation). You should now see a “key” icon next to your signal strength indicators; tap on this key icon followed by selecting your newly created VPN profile from the list that appears. You may be prompted for permissionto connect; simply select “OK.” And that’s it! You should now be connected to your chosen server location via VPN- enjoy!
To connect to a VPN, log in with your work credentials (username and password). You may be prompted to install a VPN client app. Once the app is installed, launch it and sign in. After you’re signed in, select the server location that you want to connect to. Your device will now be connected to the VPN.
